Batman Forever Merchandise Review - Dual Face (Two-Face) 1/6 scale figure from Mars Toys

Earlier in the year I reviewed the Trubo Toyz 1/6 scale Two-Face figure which I thought was a pretty good shot at making a scaled down Tommy Lee Jones to stick on your desk but had a few weak aspects and lots of room for improvement.

At the end of the review I bought up the Mars Toys figure - titled Dual Face - which I wasn't planning to get but I spotted one on eBay loose for a very good price so I got it. It's amazing how much people drop the price for loose figures - it's similar to when you buy a car and drive it off the lot and it's suddenly worth way less.

Long story short I now have TWO Two-Face figures and this is definitely superior to the Trubo effort. The only thing I don't like about the Mars Toys one is the colour of the suit which has a red tint rather than a pink/purple which is more true to the movie. Trubo Toyz were definitely more accurate on that aspect - I guess I could swap the suits now I have both...

Anyway, the face sculpt is miles better - it's not up their with the way Mars captured Michael Gough's likeness but it's still very good. And both head sculpts are good this time (remember Trubo had a horrendous alternate smiling head that looked really durpy). It's just missing a little bit of shiny red on those big veins on his scarred face which if I was brave I could add with a paintbrush.

I love all the accessories. That's always the thing which bowls me over with these figures - seeing all these things that are on screen for two seconds and being able to hold them and study them. Mars have thought of almost everything, including the Halloween mask the wears when he knocks on the door of Wayne Manor.

Seeing how Mars Toys just released a two pack of Bruce Wayne figures with multiple outfits - it would be really great if they sold alternate outfits for Two-Face as well - Circus ringmaster and Party crasher -  as a separate purchase.

With Hot Toys releasing a Riddler figure very soon, I wouldn't be surprised if they do a Two-Face figure too. I don't know if anyone needs to own THREE Two-Face figures though - that sounds weird and obsessive.
