Batman Forever Merchandise Review - Triple Action Vehicle Set from Kenner

I can't tell you how long I've waited to find this pretty rare vehicle set for the Batman Forever toy line. It's the last bit of the Kenner toy line - not counting the role play sets like the Combat Utility Belt - that I needed.

One slipped through my fingers on eBay three years ago and I've only ever seen about 3 or 4 for sale in my whole life. I don't know if they just weren't sold over here in the UK or they came so late in the toy line's shelf life that not many were sold/made.

Anyway, I had one shipped from the US which was expensive but it was definitely worth the cost. Bless the seller, he included a few Batman Returns Statues inside the package as a bonus. I think he thought I was nuts paying so much for shipping.

This is a really clever toy that allows you to recreate all 3 (or 4) vehicles from the film. Kudos to the designers at Kenner for thinking this up.

You just know they knew that kids would "frankenstein" their own crazy vehicles with wings and wheels.

Batman Forever Merchandise Review - Batwing, Batboat, Batmobile models from Revell

This week we're looking at the three models made by Revell for the Batman Forever vehicles. I picked these up a few years ago and for some crazy reason I threw out the boxes. Even worse I didn't pack them up properly when moving so they do have a little bit of damage.

These are worth owning if you are a fan of these vehicles and good at building/painting models (note: it's not my forte). I've seen people on YouTube customise them with lights and even installing a gas burner for an exhaust if you're feeling brave.

Magazine Article: Automobilia no 52 Batman Forever Batboat

This week we're looking at the Batboat magazine that came with the Eaglemoss Batboat model. To see my video review of the model, click here.

This is a neat little magazine. The cutaway of the boat in particular is really fun to see.

Batman Forever Merchandise Review – Batboat Vehicle from Kenner

Let's change things up and this week have a look at one of the Kenner vehicles - the Batboat. Sure it only featured in the movie for all of 2 minutes before getting blown up but it's a cool looking boat and fun vehicle for Kenner's action figure line.

It's got a neat feature that allows it to transform into a sort of hydrofoil and a couple of fins to knock down bad guys. I'd say definitely get the Batmobile and Batwing first this isn't too essential unless you're into water themed vehicles.

Batman Forever Merchandise Review – Batboat Model from Eaglemoss

This week we're reviewing the Batboat model from Eaglemoss. If you haven't already check out my review of Eaglemoss' Batmobile on my youtube channel.

Eaglemoss are a company that makes small figures and packages them with fun, interesting magazines. Here in the UK they are sold in newsagents or via the internet. I think they've stopped doing this Bat vehicle line but it was fun while it lasted. They covered just about every movie, cartoon and comic Bat vehicle. Okay well maybe not every one but they did the Bat Train - that's how deep they dug.

I'd definitely recommend picking up this Batboat if you liked and enjoyed their Batmobile. The magazine is a fun addition and the lenticular backdrops and plastic case mean it looks great on your desk, shelf, or wherever you keep your Bat merchandise. Most of mine is currently in my attic. I need to fix that.

Batman Forever Merchandise Review – Batboat and Batsub Mini Playset from Bluebird

This week we're looking at two mini playsets from Bluebird - the Batboat and Batsub which come with a selection of mini Batman, Robin, Riddler and Two-Face figures. Although they are called Mini Playsets they are really just mini vehicles and mini figures. There's not much that makes this a set. When I hear mini playset I tend to think of Mighty Max or Star Trek: Innerspace. Something that opens, shuts and keeps figures inside.

Anyway there's not much to say about these. If you're into mini figures they are quite fun but if you aren't, they are easy to skip. They sort of work in conjunction with the Batman and Riddler head mini playsets that I've previously reviewed.
