Behind the Scenes: Filming

Here's a selection of behind the scenes shots from the making of Batman Forever.

Miscellaneous content: U2 - Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me music video

Due to rights issues, this video is actually omitted from the DVD and Blu-Ray for Batman Forever so I thought I'd take the time to post it here.

Cards: Metal Fleer Batman Forever cards 26-30

A few really ropey ones here. What’s happened to Alfred's head in that last one!

And here's the gushing review from SFX.

Magazine article: SFX Magazine #3 - Part 1

Some very positive coverage of Batman Forever from UK magazine SFX. First, Peter McGregor-Scott talks about producing the film and then Barbara Ling talks designing it. I think her description of Gotham being like "a Pet Shop Boys video meets Cecil B DeMille's Intolerance" hits the nail on the head.

Cards: Playing Cards - Part 2

And here's the rest of the cards. Got to love that Riddler-Joker card!

Cards: Playing Cards - Part 1

A great set of playing cards here with some very nice illustrations (not sure who did these but they were definitely used for other promotional merchandise). I particularly like the Batmobile Pit Crew patch. Who exactly wore that - Alfred?

For those that have read the novelisation of Batman Forever by Peter David. Here's a link to his own website where he reviews the film.

And here's another post where he talks candidly about the Batman Forever script he had to adapt. Describing it as having "plot holes you could drive a Nazi truck through"!

Behind the Scenes: Production Pages

Here's a selection of production pages for Batman Forever. Note the movie is codenamed "Blinko".

Also there appears to be scenes set in a Claw Island Assembly Line where robot arms manufacture "the box". It seems there was definitely some shots on Claw Island deleted from the finished film.
